Today DLS students, accompanied by a beautiful sky above, gathered in prayer at the annual student-led See You at the Pole day.
Fun fact: See You at the Pole" began as a grass-roots Christian prayer movement in Burleson, Texas, in 1990, not as a single day event, but as the starting point for an annual prayer gathering that has since gone global. A small group of teenagers, burdened for their friends, gathered at school flagpoles to pray, leading to the vision of students across Texas and eventually the nation, meeting at flagpoles to pray for their schools and leaders. The official event grew from this experience, with thousands gathering in September 1990, and over a million students participating the following year.
