IT INFRASTRUCTURE

Technology infrastructure consists of the installation, configuration, and maintenance of district telephony, notification systems, access control, security cameras, storage, network switching and routing, network security, cybersecurity, email, account lifecycle management, SSO, internet access, and legal compliance with content filtering.

The district technology team is committed to providing our students, teachers, administrators and staff with the best possible technological foundation to support learning and mission critical business by providing a robust network infrastructure.  This infrastructure is best defined as the broader collection of fundamental and critical components that work cohesively to run an IT network.

As the number of network-dependent devices continues to grow, it is paramount that the underlying network infrastructure is reliable, safe, robust and scalable. Here at DLS ISD we have approximately 68 layer-3 network switches, 141 wireless access points, over 1,200 student Chromebook, 400 iPads, 145 district laptops and hundreds of desktops all utilizing 18GB of internet bandwidth.
