Communities In Schools (CIS) is the largest dropout prevention program in the state, working with children in grades PK-12. Communities In Schools works to keep students from dropping out of school. The mission of Communities in Schools is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.
Communities in Schools helps students who are struggling in any way to get back on track by giving them one on one support. CIS is able to help qualifying students with needs such as tutorials, school supplies, clothing, eye glasses, and food.
