A Message from the Principal…………
As the experiences of summer begin to fade, the memories of a lifetime will soon be forged as we begin the educational journey of the 2017-2018 school year. Thoughts of sleeping late, eating ice cream, and swimming will soon be replaced by the roaring of school buses, bells, and Friday night football.
The staff of South Elementary has been working diligently to ensure that 2017-18 is a successful year for all. For the task at hand, both the staff, parents, and students must work in unison, where effective communication is needed by all concerned. Our purpose is to help every student reach his or her maximum potential and develop skills to continue the process of learning well past the time spent at South Elementary.
Having graced the halls as a student when Mr. May was the principal and even sat in Mrs. Walker’s math classroom, there is a growing sense of pride being able to provide a service to a community that had such an impact on my education and life.
The 2017-2018 school year promises to be a memorable school experience for all as South Elementary is impacting the future lives of its students and the Daingerfield-Lone Star communities. We are here to serve. If you have any questions/concerns or just want to see the many great activities being implemented, feel free to stop for a visit.
Yours in education,
South Elementary Principal
