Principal's Message

Hello, my name is Amy Billingslea, I am the Principal at Daingerfield Junior High School. I first want to thank you for taking the time to visit our website. I would like to share with you some facts about our school. Here at DJHS our students are engaged in core curriculum classes that will help to enhance their high school experience. We strive to teach the strategies that all students need to be successful in their careers and their future. This part of our students education works more efficiently if the parents/guardians are involved. Family is so very important, and we want to grow the “Tiger Pride” family. The faculty and staff are here to help support your child’s learning processes. Second, If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact us. We want to keep the communication lines open to help our children succeed.

Being a past graduate I do understand the areas that are a concern for families. I left our community to follow my husband with his work nineteen years ago. Working in other area school districts, I have experiences that will enhance our students future. The requirements for jobs in work ethic, loyalty, and communication skills are something that must be taught starting at the Junior High level. I know if we use the team approach we will be able to promote these vital skills for our children. I really do appreciate the opportunity to work in Daingerfield again. I also look forward to having conversations with anyone who wants to help our future generations to be successful.

Mrs. Amy Billingslea,

DJHS Principal

Hello Daingerfield!!!!

My name is Angie Andrews and I am entering my 22nd year in education. I have spent my career being an interventionist, a coach of all sports, and teaching mathematics. I am blessed to be the mother of my two sons who are currently serving our country and pursuing higher education. My husband and I live on our ranch where we raise red angus and mini aussies.

I am so excited to bring my passion for education and energy to create opportunities for children to Daingerfield Junior High. My expectations of myself and the students will be high but fair. I am so blessed to be able to be a part of this school district and learn the meaning of Tiger Pride!
Go Tigers!
