Mr. Stewart is a 1990 DHS graduate. He attended Lone Star Elementary for one year and South Elementary for the remainder of his elementary years. While attending DJHS and DHS, he participated in Math Team, Football, Basketball, Track, Baseball and Student Council. After graduating, he went on to Southern Arkansas University where he played baseball. This led to playing professional baseball for the Houston Astros and Springfield Capitals. He then returned to Texas and graduated from the University of Texas at Tyler. He began teaching and coaching at Daingerfield in 1997. His experience includes teaching, coaching, and administration in Hughes Springs, Paul Pewitt, and Pittsburg.
Mr. Stewart is excited about returning to Daingerfield, the outstanding support he has received, and his son being a Tiger. His plans include supporting the Tigers in all extracurricular events, rebuilding of programs, improving End-of-Course test scores, continuing the Daingerfield Tradition of Excellence, and renewing relationships,
He is married to another DHS alumnus, Kera (Hall) Stewart. They have three children.
