Daingerfield High School New Student Registration
As a new or prospective student of Daingerfield-Lone Star Independent School District, we are committed to providing an exceptional education in an environment that will nurture the intellectual, social, and cultural development of each student. Students will be challenged through a wide array of academic and extracurricular opportunities. Our goal is to connect students to real-world experiences which promote real-world success.
Any student who is NEW to Daingerfield-Lone Star ISD or who did not complete the prior school year in a D-LS ISD school is REQUIRED to complete the registration process. NEW students may register at Daingerfield high School from August 7th-August 11th. You may register during regular office hours, 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Please be prepared to provide Proof of Residency when you come to complete your registration paperwork.
Football – Varsity will play against Lone Oak in Gladewater tomorrow night at 7:30 in the Bi-district round of the playoffs. We are the home team. There will not be any pregame ticket sales this week. Tickets at the gate will be $6 for adults and $4 for students.
Boys Basketball – is cancelled for tomorrow due to playoffs.
Girls Basketball – Varsity will play in the New Diana Tournament starting today through Saturday.
Picture Retakes – for all grade levels will be on Friday, December 8th.
FCA – will meet Thursday morning at 7:20 a.m. in the new gym. Muffins and juice are provided. All are invited to attend.
Math Team – will not have practice tomorrow due to the playoff game and Thanksgiving break.
Dual Credit Classes – NTCC Spring Registration is now open for students who are interested in taking dual credit classes. Come to the Counselor’s Office for more information and to enroll.
Upward Bound – will have a monthly meeting at NTCC at 5:30 on Monday, November 27th.
Food Drive – It is the season of giving and DHS is once again collecting canned goods and non-perishable food items for area families to have at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Please bring your food items and place them in the boxes at the end of the halls. We will be collecting items until tomorrow.
Potato Fundraiser – juniors & seniors are selling baked potatoes as a prom fundraiser until Friday. See one of them or Mrs. B if you want to purchase a plate. They are $10.
FFA Fundraiser – meat & cookie dough will be here today. All students that sold need to pick their items up for delivery after 3:30. If you usually ride the bus, other arrangements should be made.
NHS Induction Ceremony – will be this Sunday, November 19th, at 2:00 in the auditorium.
STAAR EOC Retesting – will be December 4-8. Monday will be English I; Tuesday will be Algebra I; Wednesday will be English II; Thursday will be Biology & US History; and Friday will be a makeup day.
